New Life in Jesus
My Baptism in 2018 at Hart Lake, Minnesota
As I write this today (2026), thinking back on what my life was like before, nothing could drive me back to that misery!
I wake up each morning with a purpose, knowing that God’s will is behind each day. Have you ever felt that life has no meaning, no rhyme or reason… life stinks and then you die?
We all will die someday, unless Jesus returns before that, but life doesn’t need to stink!
Life can be full of beauty and positive direction. That’s what a life in Christ offers to each one of us. I am aware of the negativity in the world; I was a full member of that club back in the day. Those who deny the existence of God are, in my opinion, the most miserable people on earth, and that is exactly what Satan wants!
If you deny God, you are playing into Lucifer’s hands. My dear friend, both of them do exist. I have experienced the power of each, and guess what? God wins when you allow Him into your heart. There is a “higher power,” and His name is Yehovah, the almighty God, creator of heaven and earth.
In a conversation with Nicodemus, a Pharisee, ruler of the Jews, who went to Jesus in the night so he wouldn’t be seen talking to Him, John 3:3 – “Jesus replied, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.’” (NKJV)
We must be born again to enter into a saving relationship with the Father. We go to Jesus as we are, willing to give up our old life, to begin that new life He promises to renew! Jesus goes on to say in John 3:6, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” This verse captures the core of being “born again” and starting a new life in Christ (NKJV)
A bible study on this subject will be available, but when the Holy Spirit touches you, there is little need to study about it because you will be living it.
A new life in Christ is a spiritual rebirth and a transformed way of living. We cannot remain the same; it is impossible to remain unchanged unless you reject God.
I give thanks each day for this new life and baptism into His family as His chosen. Yes, once we answer His call, we are chosen to do His will. Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
This is what it means to be a part of the remnant. Have you heard His call, or are you among them who reject His voice?
